CHAMPAGNE Louis François – non-vintage Cuvée Brut: Fine, intense bubbles
CHAMPAGNE Louis François – non-vintage Cuvée Brut

Fine, intense bubbles

Region
The Champagne region is one of the crown jewels of French vineyards, which thanks to its chalky terroir and three grape varieties perfectly adapted down the centuries to the soils produces the best sparkling wines in the world.

Vintage Conditions
The quintessence of champagne is the non-vintage Brut category, which summarizes a style by blending several vintages. This cuvée gave pride of place to the reserve wines, wines which have aged for several years in the cellar and contribute their flavour and strength to this wine.

Colour
Pale yellow colour with grey tints. Regular and abundant effervescence forming a long stream of bubbles.
Nose
Superb ripe, flavourful nose clearly moving towards aromas of poached white fruits, with fresh aniseed and angelica overtones. Complemented by rich connotations of freshly-baked brioche and fresh butter, the result of long aging on lees.
Palate
Full and flavourful in the mouth, shot through with zesty bergamot and a fine effervescence. Powerful but refined conclusion with tones of candied fruit and orange peel.
Food pairing
A few blinis with smoked trout and a citrus chutney.
