Region
Belonging to the southern Rhône, since its accession to the grade of AOC this appellation allows the production of fresh Grenache. Plan de Dieu have definitively found a place among top Rhône wines – and on our list !.
Vintage conditions
A vintage that has suffered deeply from coulure, the susceptible Grenache has been hit the hardest. As a result, this wine is more than satisfying and gives a really immediate pleasure. Yields are naturally very low..
Colour
Garnet colour with ruby hue.
Nose
Dark fruits, ripe and sweet perfume of chocolate and Amarena cherries, a touch of camphor on the finish, altogether a very pleasant wine.
Palate
Rounded and not very tannic, the fruit makes itself clear. Nice volume underlined by dark pepper, cigar box and a medium body. A poised finish with cocoa notes.
Food pairing
Roasted guinea fowl with potatoes.
Vintage Blend
Vintage blend: 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 5% Cinsault et 5% Carignan.
Maturation
Aged for 12 months in cement vats.
